Discussions on occlusion are typically hotly debated and often hostile. People have even relegated occlusion to a non-important category. In reality, occlusion is a critical part of successful implant treatment. Occlusion related failures and complications are well known: implant fracture, screw fracture, screw loosening, restoration fracture and interproximal contact loss. This presentation will attempt to show that attention to proper occlusion can minimize these adverse effects.
