Description:
Alveolar ridge deficiency is a common problem after loss of teeth in implant dentistry. An ideal, prosthetically driven implant placement requires a bone stock of appropriate width and height to accommodate dental implants. Different ridge augmentation techniques are available based on the diagnosis of ridge atrophy. Classification of the ridge deficiency and appropriate surgical treatment options will be discussed during this presentation.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the reason for bone loss in the stomatognathic system. Learn the classification of alveolar ridge deficiency. Acquire the knowledge of the surgical treatment options for bone augmentation in implant dentistry
